The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Online Program of the World Citi Colleges is a very special program, a breakthrough in the professional nursing education in the Philippines, the first educational institution approved by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to offer distance learning through the Trans-National Education (TNE) Memorandum Order with strong linkages with Northwestern Polytechnic University (NPU) and the Beautiful Heart Foundation, Inc. (BHFI) in California. This program is student-centered and student-friendly. Each student is treated individually and is evaluated based on their work experience, general education credits and over-all performance on the post-module tests. There are a total of twenty (21) modules covering various core nursing subjects.
The highlights of each module are summarized in colorful and interesting Microsoft Powerpoint™ presentations well-written by seasoned academicians in the field of nursing in the Philippines. These Powerpoint™ presentations are well-secured and tightly-guarded, password-sensitive and can only be accessed by students and its respective modular writers. An e-classroom has been set-up for our students to encourage real-time audio and visual interactions with the students, faculty and counselors on a scheduled basis. Informative instructional videos have been uploaded to the website so that nursing skills and procedures are properly demonstrated online. All of our teaching materials are delivered through an English medium. The College of Nursing is the first college of World Citi Colleges when it was still known as Quezon City Medical Center and Colleges (QCMCC) in its maiden voyage as an educational institution in 1979. Through the ebb and flow of global opportunities, the college rode on the tide through many years to reach its secure and stable pedestal.
